After we pick you up from Kusadasi Cruise Port, we will begin your fully guided Ephesus Exclusive Shore Excursion.
As you arrive in Ephesus, you will see the Magnesia Gate, a wonderful example of ancient architecture that once served as one of the entrances to the city. From here, you will start a downhill walk through the ancient city with your private guide.
During the tour, you will see the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan, and the Great Theatre. The Great Theatre is one of the best-preserved monuments in Ephesus. It once had a seating capacity of around 24,000 people and is also believed to be the place where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians.
After visiting the main ancient city, we will continue to the Terrace Houses inside Ephesus. These houses are also known as the homes of wealthy Ephesians. They include impressive mosaics, frescoes, and residential areas built on terraces. The oldest parts date back to the 1st century BC.
After the Terrace Houses, we will drive to the House of the Virgin Mary and then enjoy a delicious local Turkish lunch.
At the end of the tour, we will drive you back to Kusadasi Cruise Port in time for your cruise ship departure.
