TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS
The temple of Artemis is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It was built on an area of Ephesus, which over centuries has turned into a swamp. Only the foundations and few columns of the ruins remain on site with the most spectacular pieces exhibited in London’s British Museum.
Next to these ruins there is an altar and a small Byzantine brick church.
